  7.     Freedom is a family matter for LECH WALESA. He stayed in
  8. Warsaw to attend the July 4 session marking Solidarity's entry
  9. into parliament, while his wife DANUTA journeyed to Philadelphia
  10. to accept an Independence Day award in his behalf. Nobel
  11. laureate Walesa received the city's first Liberty Medal -- and
  12. its $100,000 cash prize. JAROSLAW, 12, one of the couple's eight
  13. children, listened proudly as Danuta read aloud her husband's
  14. speech in Polish. Calling liberty a common responsibility,
  15. Walesa warned that no one can ever be free who calmly looks on
  16. at another's captivity.
